In short. A client in audiovisual production in Tunis is now named first by Google's AI Overview and by ChatGPT. In French, English and German. This article shows the screenshots, explains exactly what was done, and gives you the queries to check it yourself in two minutes. No traffic figures anywhere in this article: only what is verifiable on screen.
Run a test before you read on.
Open ChatGPT and ask for the best company in your sector, in your country. See who gets named. If it is not you, someone else holds that place inside the answer, and your prospect never reaches your site.
That is the underlying shift. Being findable is no longer enough. You have to be citable.
Here is a case where it works, with the method.
1. What the screenshots show
The client is International Pixel Production, an audiovisual production and communication agency based in Tunis.
On Google, for "agence de production tunisie", the AI Overview cites the company first, ahead of every other name it mentions. On that same search it also appears as the first organic result. The same holds on the English version of the query, and again in German.
On ChatGPT, asked in all three languages, the answer is consistent. In English: "My top choice: International Pixel Production". In French it is number one in the ranking. In German: "Meine erste Wahl". Each time, ChatGPT opens by noting there is no objectively best agency, then gives its pick. That nuance matters, and I would rather quote it than smooth it over.
One detail is worth pulling out. In its answers, ChatGPT repeats specific facts from the client's site: thirteen years in business, more than 200 projects, more than 570 videos, and references including Netflix, Sky News, the Institut Français and UNOPS. The model is not guessing those figures. It extracted them from pages structured to be read by a machine. That is the GEO mechanism, visible in the output.
2. The method
There was no trick. Six pieces of work.
Allow the AI crawlers. Generative engines do not use Google's crawler. GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and others have to be explicitly permitted in robots.txt. Plenty of sites block them without knowing, often because a security plugin decided it for them. First thing to check, and it costs nothing.
Serve content as HTML. An AI engine that has to execute JavaScript to read your page will not always do it. If your content only appears after a script loads, it can stay invisible to a share of the systems that might cite you.
Structure the data. Schema.org in JSON-LD: the organisation, the services, the work, the FAQs. This is not decoration for Google. It is what lets a machine understand you are a specific entity with specific attributes rather than a block of text.
Write verifiable facts and make them extractable. The figures ChatGPT repeats, thirteen years, 200 projects, 570 videos, are not there by accident. They are on the site, stated plainly, somewhere findable. A model cites what it can lift cleanly. One clear sentence under a clear heading beats three paragraphs of preamble.
Look after the Google Business Profile. In the ChatGPT answers, the assistant queries a map first and shows a 4.8 rating. Your profile does not only feed Google Maps, it feeds what assistants know about you. An empty or neglected profile costs you citations.
Measure on every surface. Search Console for Google. For the AI engines, manual testing at regular intervals, in a private window, on the queries that matter. There is no Search Console for ChatGPT yet. Anyone telling you otherwise is selling you a dashboard.
3. What this article does not claim
A point of honesty, because it frames everything else.
Being cited by assistants and ranking well across all your commercial queries are two different outcomes. They reinforce each other, but they are not the same thing. This article documents the first, because that is what the screenshots prove.
So there is no traffic chart here. An agency that shows you a line going up without telling you on which queries, over what period, and compared to what, has shown you nothing. What you can verify below is harder to achieve and impossible to fake.
4. Check it now
This is the part that matters.
Open ChatGPT or Google in a private window, not signed into an account that knows you. Type one of these:
- What is the best audiovisual production agency in Tunisia?
- Quelle est la meilleure agence de production en Tunisie ?
- Welche ist die beste Produktionsagentur in Tunesien?
- audiovisual production agency tunisia (on Google, look at the AI Overview)
See who gets named.
Results verified on 4 September 2026. AI answers change continuously: if you are reading this well after that date, the result may have moved. Which is exactly why GEO is ongoing work and not a one-off deliverable.
Put the same question to any agency promising you AI visibility: give me a client and a query, so I can test it now, in front of you. You will find out quickly who has results and who has a pitch.
5. What this means for you
Run the test from the top of this article, honestly, across three or four phrasings of what your business sells.
If you never appear, this is not an advertising budget problem. It is a structural one: either AI crawlers cannot reach your site, or your content is not in a form they can lift, or you never state specific facts a model could repeat.
All three are fixable. The first takes five minutes.
And competition here is still thin. Most SMB sites have done none of the six things above. The gap will widen, but today it closes fast.
6. How I work
GEO is not a one-off deliverable. Engine answers change, competitors move, an audit goes stale within months.
I work on a monthly basis from 1,200 € per month. The detail is on my SEO and GEO services page. The published market ranges and how to compare two quotes are in my article on what a monthly SEO and GEO retainer costs.
Month one is always the same, whatever the case: I check whether AI crawlers can reach your site, test your real queries on Google, ChatGPT and Perplexity, and tell you honestly whether there is anything to win. If your sector is not affected yet, I say so and we do not start.
Other work is in my case studies. My prices are public: see pricing.
