What a badly prepared redesign costs you

Google already knows the pages on your current site, and other sites link to them. Some bring you clients every week. If their URLs change without redirects, those pages return an error and end up dropping out of Google's index. The inquiries that came through them stop, and getting them back can take months.

A new design doesn't make up for that loss. That's why every redesign I take on starts with an inventory of what you already have, before any mockup.

What every redesign includes

  • Page inventory. Your current URLs, each with its impressions and clicks in Google Search Console.
  • 301 redirect plan. Every old URL redirected to its new page, then checked after launch.
  • Content transfer. Your text, images and blog posts moved to the new site and proofread.
  • The new site. A new design, custom-coded in Next.js or Astro, with the SEO basics: a title and description for each page, an XML sitemap, structured data, measured speed.
  • Before-and-after measurement. Rankings and speed recorded before launch, so you can compare after.
  • Warranty. For 30 days after launch, I fix any defect you report.

To start, I need access to your Google Search Console, your current hosting and your domain name.

Leaving WordPress

Six of my clients' sites ran on WordPress. I rebuilt all of them from scratch, without reusing the original code: four in Next.js (iPixelP, FEIMA Travel, Tanit Studio, Marse Photo) and two in Astro (Orchestra Media, Bridge Exhibitions). If you want to keep your design and content and change only the technology, that's a migration, with the same starting price of €1,200 excluding VAT. The details are in my guide to moving from WordPress to Next.js.

A measured example: iPixelP

I rebuilt the site of iPixelP, an audiovisual production company in Tunis, in five weeks with Next.js 15. Its Lighthouse mobile score on PageSpeed Insights went from 42 to 96. On 27 September 2026, the site was the first organic result on Google for "agence audiovisuelle Tunisie" and "agence de production vidéo en Tunisie".

Price and timeline

A redesign starts at €1,200 excluding VAT for a marketing site. That's more than a new build, which starts at €450, because a redesign adds the page inventory, the redirect plan and the content transfer. The final price depends on the number of pages, languages and features: a site with booking, several languages or a blog is priced as a Professional site, €2,200 to €10,000 excluding VAT. Restaurant, dentist and law firm sites have their own price grids; for a law firm, a redesign starts at €1,500. Allow two to six weeks depending on the size of the site.

Payment comes in three parts: 30% at signing, 40% at the midpoint, 30% at delivery. The code is yours at delivery. Hosting runs €10 to €50 a month, and maintenance is optional, from €150 a month. Invoiced in euros.
